نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ بَلْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend.
We but hasten to lavish on them all kinds of good? No, but they do not perceive (the reality of the matter).
We are in a hurry to do them good? Nay, but they do not realise (the true state of things).
We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? 32 Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]!
We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not.
Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know.
Think they that in the wealth and children, wherewith We provide them
We rush/quicken for them in the goodnesses/generosity, but they do not feel/know/sense.
We are eager for their welfare? By no means! They do not understand the reality of the matter.
Think they that by the wealth and children wherewith We aid them,
We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this.
We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not.
We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive.
We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not.
We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand.
