لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنْقَلِبُوا خَائِبِينَ
In order that He may cut off a part of unbelievers or overthrow them, and they turn back in frustration.
And that (through you) He might cut off a (leading) party of those who disbelieved, or overwhelm them, so that they (and others) would retreat in utter disappointment.
(God will do accordingly at Uhud) with the result that He may cut of a section of those who disbelieve and their leaders and vanquish others with humiliation so that they might go back utterly frustrated.
[and] that [through you] He might destroy some of those who were bent on denying the truth, and so abase the others 95 that they would withdraw in utter hopelessness.
That He may cut: off a portion of those who disbelieve, or abase them so that they may go back disappointed.
So He may cut off a part of the disbelievers, or disgrace them so that they return unsuccessful.
It (the concern, responsibility or decision) is not for you whether He turns towards them again or punish them; for, verily, they are evil-doers.
To cut off/separate an end/edge from those who disbelieved, or He humiliates/destroys/returns them with rage, so they turn/return failures .
( Allah sent the aid of Angels for the believers to offset the aid of Shaitans to the unbelievers) so that He might cut off a flank of the unbelievers or put them to flight, making them withdraw with utter disappointment.
And Allah made it only as good news for you, and that your hearts might be at ease thereby. And help comes only from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise,
(They are sent) to break the power of the unbelievers or disgrace them and make them return after having lost all hope."
That He may cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or overwhelm them so that they retire, frustrated.
That He may cut off a portion from among those who disbelieve, or abase them so that they should return disappointed of attaining what they desired.
That He might cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or expose them to infamy, so that they retire frustrated.
That He might cut off a fringe of the Unbelievers or expose them to infamy, and they should then be turned back, frustrated of their purpose.
