كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
No. In fact what they have been doing has rusted their hearts.
By no means! But what they themselves have earned has rusted upon their hearts (and prevents them from perceiving the truth).
Nay (not at all so), the truth is that their (evil) deeds have rusted their hearts.
Nay, but their hearts are corroded by all [the evil] that they were wont to do! 4
By no means!´ Aye! encrusted upon their hearts is that which they have been earning.
Not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts.
Nay! But what they used to do has become like rust upon their heart.
No but, rather (it) dominated/overwhelmed on their hearts/minds , what they were gaining/acquiring .
Of course not! In fact their misdeeds have caused a covering on their hearts.
Nay, surely they are that day debarred form their Lord.
They will never have faith. In fact, their hearts are stained from their deeds.
Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts.
Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts.
Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.
By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!
